Step-by-Step Instructions for Garlic Shrimp
  1. Start by patting the fresh shrimp dry with a paper towel. Place them in a mixing bowl to let the moisture evaporate.
  2. Sprinkle all-purpose flour, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper over the shrimp. Toss gently to coat each piece evenly.
  3. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter with 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat until the butter fizzes.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet, stirring constantly for about 30 seconds until fragrant, without browning it.
  5. Carefully lay the shrimp in a single layer in the skillet and cook undisturbed for about 2 minutes until pink.
  6. Gently flip each shrimp and continue cooking for another 2 minutes until just opaque throughout.
  7. Remove from heat and drizzle with freshly squeezed lemon juice, tossing gently. Sprinkle with parsley if desired.
  8. Plate the shrimp and drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the top. Serve immediately with coconut rice or vegetables.
