Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Combine 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water in a small bowl, stirring until smooth to create a slurry. Set aside.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, mix the slurry with 1 cup of orange juice, 2 teaspoons of orange zest, ¼ cup of soy sauce, ¼ cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of minced ginger, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic, and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until thickened.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  4. Line a baking sheet with lightly oiled aluminum foil and place salmon fillets skin-side down, ensuring space between them.
  5. Baste the salmon generously with the orange teriyaki glaze, saving half for later.
  6. Bake the salmon for 14 minutes until opaque and flakable.
  7. Remove from oven, baste with reserved sauce, and broil for 1 minute.
