For the Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 4 ounces cream cheese dairy-free alternative if desired
  • 0.25 cups unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method
 

Prep the Dough
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon until well combined. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until fully incorporated.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Gradually add the dry flour mixture into the wet ingredients, mixing at low speed until just combined.
Chill Dough
  1. If your kitchen is warm, chill the dough for 20-30 minutes. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Form and Coat Cookies
  1. Scoop out tablespoons of dough and roll them into balls. Roll each ball in a cinnamon-sugar mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
Bake
  1. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Remove when edges are golden brown.
Prepare the Frosting
  1. In a mixing bowl, whip together cream cheese and butter. Gradually add powdered sugar and ground cinnamon, mixing until creamy.
Frost the Cookies
