Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Sear the chuck roast in a skillet with olive oil, seasoning with salt and black pepper for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  2. Transfer the seared roast to a slow cooker, layer with sliced onion, minced garlic, and pour in beef broth along with chili powder, cumin, and spices. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  3. Shred the cooked meat into bite-sized pieces and mix back into the juices. Drizzle lime juice over the meat before serving.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave to prepare them for serving.
