Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Sterilize your mason jars in boiling water for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Mash about 4 cups of fresh strawberries and 2 cups of ripe mangos until chunky.
  3. In a pot, combine mashed fruit, powdered pectin, and lemon juice. Heat over medium until boiling.
  4. (Optional) Add half a pat of butter to reduce foaming.
  5. Gradually stir in 7 cups of sugar, keep stirring until dissolved, then return to a hard boil.
  6. Remove from heat and skim off excess foam.
  7. Ladle hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch space, and process jars in a water-bath canner for 15 minutes.
  8. Remove jars and let cool completely; check seals before storing.
