  • 1/2 Red Bell Pepper other bell peppers or carrots work as substitutes
  • 1/2 Zucchini consider asparagus or snap peas for change
  • 1/2 cup Mushrooms use any preferred mushrooms or omit
For the Sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce gluten-free option available
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili Flakes adjustable for heat
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil can omit for lighter taste
  • 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar honey or maple syrup works as a replacement
For Serving
  • 1 cup Steamed White Rice swap for brown rice or cauliflower rice if desired

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare your ingredients by washing and chopping the vegetables into bite-sized pieces. Mince four cloves of garlic, then set aside. Measure out your soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, and drizzle in a teaspoon of sesame oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Introduce the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Brown for about 5-7 minutes, then stir in soy sauce, chili flakes, and brown sugar. Allow sauce to simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. In a separate pan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until aromatic.
  5. Add mushrooms to the pan, cooking for 2 minutes. Toss in broccoli, zucchini, and red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  6. To assemble, start with steamed white rice in a bowl, top with seasoned ground beef and the garlic veggies. Drizzle remaining sauce over the top.
