Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Toss the thinly sliced beef in cornstarch until evenly coated. Set aside.
  2. Heat about 2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the beef in batches, cooking for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Sauté minced garlic and grated ginger in the same pan for 30 seconds.
  5. Whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and water/broth. Pour into the pan and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Return the crispy beef to the pan, stirring in cut green onions just before serving.
