- Heat a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add olive oil and warm for about 30 seconds.
- Add red bell pepper, serrano or jalapeno peppers, carrots, and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in sweet paprika, hot paprika, salt, cumin, turmeric, and tomato paste. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in water and add half of the cilantro. Cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes.
- Season salmon fillets with salt. Place fillets in the pan, covering them with sauce.
- Cover the pan and let cook on low heat for 20-25 minutes.
- Garnish with lemon slices and an extra squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
