Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Gather all your ingredients for the Savory Shrimp Sausage Dirty Rice. Chop the yellow onion and bell peppers, and mince the garlic.
  2. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sliced Andouille sausage, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the sausage is browned.
  4. Stir in the jasmine rice and Cajun seasoning, mixing thoroughly. Toast the rice for about 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Remove the lid, fold in the shrimp, cover again, and cook for 5-7 minutes until the shrimp are cooked through.
  7. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
