Step-by-Step Instructions for Ground Beef Orzo
- Gather all ingredients, chop the onion finely and mince the garlic.
- In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion for about 5 minutes until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.
- Add 1 pound of ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 6-8 minutes until fully browned.
- Stir in the minced garlic again and then add the diced tomatoes. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce to simmer, add orzo and beef broth, then cover and cook for 10-12 minutes.
