Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large pot, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
  2. Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add broccoli florets and cook for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
  5. Stir in orzo, chicken broth, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Reduce the heat to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender.
  7. Remove from heat and mix in grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
