Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the whipped cream cheese, sour cream or mayonnaise, chopped dill, and kosher salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
- Lay out all slices of bread on a clean cutting board. Generously spread the herbed cream cheese mixture onto one side of each bread slice.
- Using a sharp knife or a mandolin, thinly slice the English cucumber about 1/8 inch thick.
- On half of the cream cheese-covered bread slices, arrange the cucumber slices slightly overlapping.
- Place the remaining bread slices, cream cheese side down, on top of the cucumbers to create a sandwich and gently press down.
- Carefully trim the crusts from all four edges of each sandwich for a refined presentation.
- Cut each sandwich into four small pieces, either rectangles or triangles.
- Arrange the sandwiches on a serving platter, and optionally garnish with extra dill or cucumber slices.

Notes
Allow the assembled sandwiches to chill for about 15 minutes before serving for enhanced firmness and flavor.
