Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 12-cup muffin tin.
  2. Roll out a sheet of thawed puff pastry into a 12x14 inch rectangle.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the rolled-out puff pastry.
  5. Layer a thin spread of raspberry preserves on top of the cream cheese mixture.
  6. If using a second sheet of puff pastry, repeat the layering process.
  7. Starting from the long side, roll each sheet into a log and cut in half lengthwise.
  8. Twist each half cut-side up and coil it into a spiral, placing each twisted cruffin in the muffin cups.
  9. Brush the tops of the cruffins with melted butter for added richness and shine.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 22-25 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Dust the baked cruffins with powdered sugar before serving.
