- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather and prepare all your ingredients.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth and glossy.
- Mash the very ripe bananas and add them to the mixture with the egg and vanilla extract, whisk until combined.
- Sift the whole wheat flour, baking soda, and salt over the wet mixture and gently fold in.
- Fold in your choice of chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish and pour in the batter, smoothing the top evenly.
