Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Sauté the finely chopped mushrooms in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
- Roll out the chilled puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into 3 inch squares.
- Assemble each bite by placing a spoonful of sautéed mushrooms and a piece of beef tenderloin on the pastry square.
- Brush edges of the pastry with egg wash, fold over the filling, and seal securely.
- Arrange on a nonstick baking sheet and brush tops with remaining egg wash for color.
- Bake for approximately 15 minutes until golden-brown and puffed.
- Cool slightly, then serve warm on a platter.
