Pastry
  • 1 package Puff Pastry Thawed
Filling
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard Or whole grain mustard
  • 8 slices Black Forest Ham Or other deli meats
  • 8 slices White Cheddar Cheese Or Swiss, Gruyère, or pepper jack
Topping
  • 1 large Egg Beaten for egg wash
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds Optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Unroll the thawed puff pastry sheets on a clean surface and slice each sheet into triangles.
  3. Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the wider end of each pastry triangle.
  4. Place a piece of Black Forest ham and a slice of white cheddar cheese on top of the mustard.
  5. Roll each triangle from the wide end towards the pointed tip, pressing the edges to seal.
  6. Beat the egg with a splash of water. Brush over the tops of each rolled croissant and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  7. Bake the croissants in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
