For the Dip
  • 1 lb Ground Beef can substitute with ground turkey or chorizo
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese ensure it's softened
  • 2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese can substitute with Monterey Jack
  • 15 oz Black Beans rinsed
  • 1 cup Salsa mild or hot based on preference
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
Optional Toppings
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Cilantro for garnish
  • 1/4 cup Sliced Green Onions for garnish

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Mix the cooked beef, cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, black beans, salsa, chili powder, cumin, and garlic powder in a bowl until smooth.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  6. Let the dip cool for 5 minutes, then garnish with cilantro and green onions before serving.
