Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather your ingredients and equipment to streamline your cooking process.
  2. Slice the green cabbage into eight wedges, keeping the core intact.
  3. In a heated skillet, pour in olive oil and sear the cabbage wedges for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden-brown.
  4. Add a little more olive oil, then sauté chopped red onion and minced garlic for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  5. Deglaze the skillet with low-sodium chicken broth, then stir in cream cheese until smooth.
  6. Lower heat and add heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, and dried herbs. Simmer for about 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Return the seared cabbage wedges to the skillet, coating them in the creamy sauce. Cover and transfer to the oven for 45 minutes.
  8. After 45 minutes, uncover and baste the cabbage with sauce before returning to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese over the top before serving.
