For the Creamy Base
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese Neufchâtel cheese can be used as a lighter alternative
For the Cheesy Topping
  • 8 slices Provolone Cheese Mozzarella can be used if unavailable
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese blend or cheddar can also work

  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Substitute with avocado oil for a higher smoke point

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions and bell peppers, sauté for 5-6 minutes until soft.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Incorporate ground beef into the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for 7-8 minutes.
  5. Drizzle in Worcestershire sauce and stir to coat the meat. Mix in softened cream cheese until well blended.
  6. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Layer with provolone cheese and shredded mozzarella.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
