Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of softened unsalted butter, 1 pound each of lobster meat and crab meat, and 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice. Add 2 tablespoons of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning, 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Use a spatula to thoroughly blend all the ingredients until everything is well incorporated and the mixture is creamy, resembling a rich seafood spread.
- If the mixture feels too loose to form, pop it into the refrigerator for about 15–20 minutes to help firm up the butter mixture.
- Lay out a sheet of plastic wrap on your workspace. Spoon the lobster and crab mixture onto the center and gently roll it into a log shape, about 2 inches in diameter. Wrap the plastic tightly around the mixture, twisting the ends to seal it closed. Place the wrapped log in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours.
- After chilling, carefully unwrap the butter log and use a sharp knife to slice it into even rounds, about 1 inch thick. Arrange the slices on a serving platter, garnishing with additional chopped parsley and serve alongside lemon wedges.
