Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. In a separate mixing bowl, cream together your softened salted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Blend in the fresh lemon zest and dried lavender buds into the creamed mixture until evenly incorporated.
  5. Add the large egg to the mixture and blend until fully incorporated.
  6. Gradually mix the reserved dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  7. Using a cookie scoop, portion dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing each cookie about 2 inches apart.
