  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

Equipment

  • Large Skillet

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Begin by patting the fish fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. In a mixing bowl, drizzle the fillets lightly with olive oil, then season with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat until hot. Add the seasoned fish fillets to the skillet and cook undisturbed for 3-4 minutes on one side until golden brown. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until cooked through.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add butter along with a splash of olive oil. Allow the butter to melt completely, stirring occasionally. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Stir in fresh lemon juice and zest, mixing well. Let the mixture simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
  5. Place the cooked fish fillets on a serving platter and drizzle the warm lemon butter sauce over the fish. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
