Ingredients
  

For the Patties
  • 1 pound Ground Chicken Substitute with ground turkey for lower-carb options.
  • 2 cloves Minced Garlic Fresh garlic is best for flavor.
  • 1/2 cup Grated Onion
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Parsley Cilantro can be a substitute.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Mint Basil can be used if mint isn't available.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1/2 cup Crumbled Feta Cheese Goat cheese can be a substitute.
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs Use gluten-free breadcrumbs if needed.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil For cooking.
For Assembly
  • 4 pieces Burger Buns Gluten-free buns can be used.
  • 4 leaves Lettuce Any leafy greens work.
  • 1 large Tomato Sliced.
For the Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek Yogurt Low-fat option can be used.
  • 1 cup Grated Cucumber Well-drained.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed is best.
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped Fresh Dill Mint can be used if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, minced garlic, grated onion, chopped parsley, mint, dried oregano, crumbled feta, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently.
  2. Divide into four portions and shape into patties about ¾ inch thick with an indentation in the center.
  3. Cover patties with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook patties for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and internal temperature is 165°F (75°C).
  6. In a separate bowl, prepare tzatziki by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  7. Toast burger buns cut side down in the skillet for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  8. Assemble burgers with tzatziki sauce, lettuce, patties, and tomato slices.

Notes
