  • 1 cup Passion Fruit Purée fresh or frozen
  • 1.5 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour (sifted, optional for dusting)

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Cream butter and granulated sugar together until pale and fluffy. Add flour and salt, then pulse until coarse crumbs form. Press into the baking dish and bake for 12-15 minutes.
  3. Whisk eggs until frothy, then gradually add granulated sugar and mix well. Stir in passion fruit purée and flour until smooth.
  4. Pour filling over baked crust and spread evenly. Bake for 25-35 minutes, until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.
  5. Cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour before cutting.
  6. Lift the bars from the dish, cut into 2-inch squares, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
