Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine shredded mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave for 1 to 1.5 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
- Add almond flour, baking powder, and the egg to the melted cheese. Stir until a soft dough forms.
- Divide dough into four portions and roll each into a circle about 5 inches in diameter.
- Spoon marinara sauce onto one half of the dough, add sausage or pepperoni, some mozzarella, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon, sealing the edges firmly.
- Transfer to the baking sheet, brush olive oil on top, and sprinkle with Parmesan if desired.
- Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
