Preparation Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the thick-cut bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 6–8 minutes. Remove, crumble and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and shredded smoked Gouda. Add crumbled bacon and spices, and blend until smooth.
- Spread the mixture evenly into a medium-sized baking dish.
- Melt butter and mix with breadcrumbs. Sprinkle over the dip.
- Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
- Let it cool slightly before serving with crackers or fresh vegetable sticks.
