Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a medium skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, add 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, a pinch of ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the mixture bubbles and the sugar fully dissolves, approximately 2 minutes. Add sliced ripe bananas and cook for about 2-3 minutes until golden and caramelized.
- While the bananas caramelize, brew 1 cup of strong coffee or espresso. Allow it to cool to room temperature or chill in the fridge.
- In a tall glass, combine the cooled brewed coffee with 1 cup of your milk of choice. Drizzle in 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce and stir until well mixed.
- Once the bananas are caramelized, spoon them into the latte mixture, including the syrup. Stir gently to distribute.
- Fill the glass with fresh ice cubes. Top with whipped cream, drizzle extra caramel sauce, and garnish with a slice of banana.
