Crust
  • 24 cookies Golden Oreo cookies Crushed into fine crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Salted butter Melted
Cream Cheese Filling
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Softened
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
Lemon Layer
  • 1 package Instant lemon pudding mix
  • 2 cups Milk Any milk type is fine
Topping
  • 1 container Cool Whip

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (if baking the crust). Crush 24 Golden Oreos in a zip-top bag. Melt 1/2 cup of salted butter and combine with crushed Oreos. Press mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  2. Whisk together 1 package of instant lemon pudding mix and 2 cups of milk in a bowl until thickened for about 5 minutes.
  3. Blend 8 oz of softened cream cheese with 1 cup of powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in 1 container of Cool Whip and spread over the cooled crust.
  4. Spread the thickened lemon pudding over the cream cheese layer evenly.
  5. Top with remaining Cool Whip, smoothing gently. Optionally sprinkle crushed Oreos on top.
  6. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight before serving.
