Preparation Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F (if baking the crust). Crush 24 Golden Oreos in a zip-top bag. Melt 1/2 cup of salted butter and combine with crushed Oreos. Press mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Whisk together 1 package of instant lemon pudding mix and 2 cups of milk in a bowl until thickened for about 5 minutes.
- Blend 8 oz of softened cream cheese with 1 cup of powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in 1 container of Cool Whip and spread over the cooled crust.
- Spread the thickened lemon pudding over the cream cheese layer evenly.
- Top with remaining Cool Whip, smoothing gently. Optionally sprinkle crushed Oreos on top.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight before serving.
