Steps

  3. Gradually stir in the flour until a smooth dough forms. Roll out to about ¼ inch thickness on a floured surface.
  4. Cut out two heart shapes using a heart-shaped template. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges turn light golden. Allow cookies to cool completely on the sheet.
  6. Frost the first heart cookie with dollops of vanilla buttercream, creating textures as desired.
  7. Position the second heart cookie on top and frost again with more vanilla buttercream.
  8. Decorate with berries, sprinkles, or macaron pieces as desired.
