  • 8 large Large Eggs key binding agent
  • 1 cup Whole Milk consider half-and-half for richness
  • 1 tsp Salt adjust to meet dietary needs
  • 1 tsp Ground Dry Mustard optional
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder can swap with fresh minced garlic
For the Cheesy Topping
  • 2 cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese no substitutions recommended
  • 1 cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese can substitute with any melty cheese
For Freshness and Garnish
  • 1/2 cup Scallions (Chopped) can replace with chives

Method
 

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Arrange the frozen hash brown patties in a single layer at the bottom of the baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the hash brown layer, followed by the diced ham and chopped scallions.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, salt, dry mustard, and garlic powder until fluffy.
  5. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered ingredients in the baking dish.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until golden.
  7. Let the casserole cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
