Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Dissolve sugar in 1 cup of warm water. Sprinkle active dry yeast over it and let it foam for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour and 1 teaspoon salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and 1/4 cup olive oil. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down the risen dough and spread it onto a greased 9x13-inch baking sheet.
  6. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with minced garlic, grated Parmesan, and optional rosemary. Create dimples in the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes.
