Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan by greasing it.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together 1.5 cups of flour and 1 tablespoon of baking powder, ensuring no lumps.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat together 4 eggs until pale and thick, then gradually add 1 cup of sugar.
  4. Fold the flour mixture into the egg mixture, then gently mix in 1 cup of ube.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden.
  6. Allow the cake to cool for 15 minutes, then poke holes across the surface with a skewer.
  7. Mix 1 cup of evaporated milk, 1 cup of condensed milk, and 1 cup of heavy cream, and pour it over the cooled cake.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to let it soak.
