Make the Ice Cream
- In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to whip 2 cups of heavy whipping cream on medium speed until soft peaks form, about 3-4 minutes.
- In another bowl, combine 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, 1 teaspoon of pure peppermint extract, and ½ cup of crushed candy canes, mixing until well blended.
- Gently fold the condensed milk mixture into the whipped cream until fully combined.
- Transfer the peppermint ice cream mixture into a loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Sprinkle additional crushed candy cane pieces on top, cover tightly, and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
Make the Milkshake
- Once the peppermint ice cream is fully frozen, scoop out about 2 cups and add it to a high-speed blender.
- Pour in 1 cup of milk and ½ teaspoon of pure vanilla extract.
- Blend on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 30-45 seconds.
- Adjust the amount of milk to reach your desired thickness.
Serve the Milkshake
- Pour the milkshake into tall glasses, topping with sweetened whipped cream and an extra sprinkle of crushed candy canes.
- Serve immediately.

Notes
Chill your tools before whipping cream to achieve lighter peaks and cover ice cream tightly in the freezer to prevent ice crystals.
