Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season the chicken breast or thighs with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1.5 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Carefully add the seasoned chicken pieces to the skillet and sear for 5–7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1.5 tablespoons of butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute.
  5. Stir in the red pepper flakes and chopped parsley, simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Return the seared chicken to the skillet and let it simmer in the garlic butter sauce for 2-3 minutes.
  7. In a separate saucepan, bring 2 cups of chicken broth and 1 cup of milk or cream to a gentle simmer.
  8. Add 1 cup of long-grain white rice to the saucepan and cover it, cooking for about 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  10. Serve creamy garlic Parmesan rice topped with golden chicken, garnished with parsley or more Parmesan.
