Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and vegetable oil (or melted butter) until smooth. Add in the room temperature eggs and mix until creamy.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula until just combined, leaving a few streaks of flour.
  5. Pour in vanilla extract and fold it into the batter. Add chopped pecans and mix until evenly distributed.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
