Preparation Steps
- Gather your ingredients. Finely chop the green onions and mince the garlic.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and allow marinating for 15 minutes.
- Lay out the wonton wrappers. Prepare a small bowl with beaten egg and fill your frying pan with about 2 inches of oil.
- Place a spoonful of shrimp mixture on a wonton wrapper, brush edges with egg, fold and seal the wrapper.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat to 350°F (175°C). Check readiness with a small piece of wonton wrapper.
- Carefully fry the wontons for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve the crispy wonton-wrapped shrimp on a platter with dipping sauces.
