Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Mix together baking powder, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Toss the chicken wings with the mixture in a larger bowl.
  2. Chill the seasoned wings uncovered in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, up to 2 days.
  3. Preheat oven to 450ºF (232ºC). Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
  4. Arrange chicken wings in a single layer on the wire rack and roast for 40-50 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 400ºF (204ºC).
  6. In air fryer, cook wings in a single layer for 30 minutes, turning halfway through.
  7. Melt unsalted butter and honey together in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir to combine and then add crushed red pepper flakes and soy sauce.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in fresh orange zest and juice.
  9. Transfer cooked wings to a large bowl and drizzle with the warm honey butter sauce, tossing to coat.
  10. Serve the coated wings on a platter garnished with optional orange wedges.
