Step-by-Step Instructions
- Prepare the Tofu: Start by draining your firm tofu and pressing it for 15-20 minutes to eliminate excess moisture. Cut the tofu into uniform bite-sized cubes, about 1-inch thick.
- Make the Sauce: In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together honey (or maple syrup), minced garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Coat the Tofu: Dredge each tofu cube in cornstarch, shaking off any excess for a perfect layer.
- Fry the Tofu: Heat a skillet with enough vegetable oil to coat the bottom. Once shimmering, add the tofu cubes in batches and fry for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Combine and Serve: Return the skillet to heat and pour in the honey garlic sauce. Toss the crispy tofu until well coated. Serve garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes
To maintain the crispy texture, reheat the tofu in a skillet rather than a microwave.
