For the Tortillas
  • 8 pieces Flour Tortillas fresh for best results
For Cooking
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil for shallow frying

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine salsa, sour cream, chopped green chiles, and seasonings. Stir until well mixed. Fold in cooked chicken and both cheeses until creamy.
  2. On a warm tortilla, place a spoonful of filling near one edge and roll tightly. Secure with a toothpick if using corn tortillas. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until 325°F. Fry 2-4 flautas seam-side down for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  4. For baking, preheat oven to 425°F and place rolled flautas on a baking rack. Brush with oil and bake for 18-20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  5. Serve with toppings like shredded lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, salsa, and sour cream. Enjoy!
