- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a 12-inch skillet or pizza pan with unsalted butter or oil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine thawed and dried frozen shredded hash browns with melted butter, salt, and ground black pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Press the hash brown mixture into the greased pan, forming an even layer with slightly elevated edges. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the hot crust, followed by optional sausage or bacon, diced bell peppers, and chopped green onions.
- Using the back of a spoon, create small wells in the toppings for the eggs.
- Crack one egg into each well. Season the eggs with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Return to oven and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until egg whites are set and yolks are slightly runny if desired.
