  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
  • 0.5 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder or cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika or smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cumin or ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes or fresh diced tomatoes
  • 1 medium jalapeño finely chopped
  • to taste hot sauce optional
For the Wrap
  • 4 large tortillas burrito-sized
  • 1 cup shredded cheese optional
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce chopped
Optional Add-Ons
  • 1 medium avocado sliced
  • 1 cup tostadas optional for crunch

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Prep Ingredients: Rinse and drain black beans, chop onion and jalapeño, and gather all ingredients.
  2. Cook Filling: Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté onion for 3 minutes, then add spices, tomatoes, and black beans. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Assemble Wraps: Place tortilla on a flat surface, add filling, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, and optional avocado. Include a tostada for crunch.
  4. Encapsulate Filling: Lay a smaller tortilla over the filling, fold large tortilla edges over it to seal.
  5. Cook Wrapped Crunch Wrap: Cook in a preheated skillet, folded-side down, for 2-3 minutes, flip and cook for 3 more minutes.
  6. Serve: Slice in half and serve with salsa, cilantro, or dipping sauce.
