Step-by-Step Instructions for Shrimp Scampi Pasta Bake
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook linguine or spaghetti until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and toss with olive oil.
- In a large skillet, melt 3 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add 4 minced garlic cloves and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add 1 pound of shrimp to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove and keep warm.
- Pour in 1 cup of white wine or chicken broth, scraping the bottom to deglaze. Simmer for about 2 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Stir in juice and zest of 1 lemon and 1 cup of heavy cream. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Transfer the pasta mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading evenly. Arrange shrimp on top.
- Sprinkle 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan and 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve warm.
