  • 100 g Butter (melted) Can be swapped with olive oil for a lighter option.
  • 200 g Brie cheese Camembert is a great substitute.
  • 1 cup Cranberry sauce Homemade or spiced cranberry sauce is best.
For the Garnish
  • 50 g Almond flakes Consider using pecans or walnuts for a twist.
  • 2 tbsp Black sesame seeds Feel free to use regular sesame seeds.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line two baking trays with parchment paper.
  2. Cut thawed filo pastry sheets into 36 squares, keeping remaining sheets covered.
  3. Brush one square of filo pastry generously with melted butter.
  4. Add one slice of brie cheese and 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce on the buttered filo, then sprinkle with almond flakes.
  5. Roll the filled filo pastry tightly from the end with the brie and pinch the ends to seal.
  6. Place rolled crackers on the baking trays and brush tops with remaining melted butter and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and flaky.
  8. Allow to cool slightly and garnish with fresh rosemary or chives for added flair.
