Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Crack Green Beans
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add fresh green beans and cook for 3-4 minutes. Drain and transfer to ice bath.
  2. Cook chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until crispy. Remove bacon, reserving some fat.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, then stir in brown sugar and soy sauce until smooth.
  4. Transfer blanched green beans to a baking dish, pour the garlic sauce over them and toss. Fold in crispy bacon.
