  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg Fresh nutmeg can enhance flavor.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground Ginger Ginger paste can be used.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar (optional) Can be substituted with maple syrup.
For Cooking & Serving
  • 2 tablespoons Butter or Oil Butter for richer flavor, oil for lighter option.

Method
 

Pumpkin French Toast Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine pumpkin puree, eggs, and milk. Whisk together until smooth.
  2. Add vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground ginger, and salt. Whisk for an additional minute.
  3. Place a skillet over medium heat and add butter or oil. Allow it to heat for about 2 minutes.
  4. Dip thick bread slices into the pumpkin batter, coating evenly. Place onto the skillet.
  5. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove from skillet and stack on a warm plate.
  7. Drizzle with maple syrup, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and add nuts if desired.
  8. Serve immediately with additional sides as preferred.
