  • Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Electric mixer

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Gather your ingredients and let them come to room temperature.
  2. Grease a standard loaf pan with butter or non-stick spray.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine canola oil, softened butter, and granulated sugar until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, incorporating each fully, then add vanilla extract and whisk until smooth.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. Gradually mix into wet ingredients.
  6. Add buttermilk (or milk and vinegar mixture) and gently fold until just combined.
  7. Mix melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon in a separate bowl for the swirl topping.
  8. Pour half of your batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it.
  9. Add the remaining batter on top, smoothing it out, then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the top.
  10. Bake for 45-50 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  11. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
