For the Topping
  • 2 tablespoons Butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup Flour Can use almond flour for gluten-free.
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar Brown sugar can be used for deeper flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat the Oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare muffin pan with liners.
  2. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and milk until smooth.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures: Gently fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Prepare the Cherries: Toss cherries with a bit of flour to coat, then fold into batter.
  6. Fill the Muffin Cups: Fill each muffin cup about two-thirds full with batter.
  7. Prepare the Topping: Combine melted butter, flour, sugar, and cinnamon until crumbly.
  8. Add the Topping and Bake: Sprinkle topping over muffins and bake for 22 minutes.
  9. Cool and Serve: Let muffins cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
