  • 8 mini croissants store-bought
  • 8 slices deli-cut ham high-quality
For the Filling
  • 8 slices smoked cheddar cheese or regular cheddar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
For the Finish
  • 1 egg white for egg wash
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds for garnish

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Slice each mini croissant in half horizontally and layer the bottom halves with cheese and ham.
  3. Mix together softened butter, mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth and spread on the inside of each croissant sandwich.
  4. Place the assembled croissant sandwiches into the greased baking dish.
  5. Whisk an egg white with a splash of water and brush the tops of each croissant with this egg wash.
  6. Sprinkle poppy seeds on top and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
