- In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, add diced bacon and sauté for about 6-8 minutes until browned and crispy.
- Remove the bacon, leaving approximately 1 tablespoon of rendered fat in the pan.
- Add cabbage wedges to the skillet, ensuring they’re coated in bacon fat and brown on each side for 2-3 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 13" x 9" baking dish.
- Arrange browned cabbage wedges in the dish and scatter sliced apples around it.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together apple juice, grainy mustard, and kosher salt.
- Fold in heavy cream to create the sauce.
- Pour the creamy sauce over the cabbage and apples and sprinkle cooked bacon on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, basting every 15 minutes.
